MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
Why join the membership committee?
Being involved in a committee is a great way to get to know other MPI members and get more value and R.O.I. out of your membership. The membership committees concentrate on new member recruitment, retention, and regional growth. Our committee creates membership incentive programs, honours our members with awards and service pins as well as implements an Ambassador program for new members to welcome them to our chapter. For any additional information please contact our VP of Membership, Sheryl Baker.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Why join the Education Committee?
Our committee is responsible for planning approximately 8 monthly educational meeting events a year. We select the best venues, and the most exciting speakers who are entertaining but who will deliver strong educational content that will interest all of our Meeting Professional members. If you have an interest in producing meetings with a WOW educational factor we want you on our committee. With the resources MPI offers and our contacts our meetings will be the best. Continuing Education, Industry Day, Meeting Content & Logistics, as well as Fusion planning fall under the responsibilities of the Education Committees. Contact VP of Education, Scarlett Coffman, CMP, for information about how you can become involved.
COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE
Why join a communication committee?
The primary responsibility of the Communications Committee is to keep our membership informed of what's happening as well as promoting MPI to potential members. Communications is an integral component of the work that every other committee performs. You can play a vital role on the Newsletter, Website, Social Networking, or Community Outreach committee! For information about how to join the Communications Team, contact VP of Communications, Beth Harmon.
STRATEGIC ALLIANCE COMMITTEE
Why join the Strategic Alliance Committee?
The local chapter of MPI functions on the money received through sponsorship. These commitees recruit and maintain partnerships with organizations looking to advertise and sponsor MPI:TN activities and publicaitons. The annual Fusion Auction is also a role under the Strategic Alliance Committees. For information about being part of the big picture of keeping MPI:TN successful, contact our VP of Finance, Aaron Mayo.

PlanIt Tennessee is the Tennessee Chapter’s premier online news source. Published once a month, PlanIt Tennessee is fashionably green and distributed to the entire MPI:TN membership via email. Stay connected with your chapter and colleagues in PlanIt Tennessee! If you are interested in contributing content to the newsletter, contact Wilma Cooley. For information about advertising in PlanIt Tennessee, contact Marilyn Johnson, CMP.
