MPI:TN is excited to offer its partnership and endorsement of the UT Meeting & Event Planning Professional Certificate program as a professional step toward a career in the industry and toward a CMP.

The UT Meeting & Event Planning Professional Certificate program is designed to help students start a career in the meeting and event planning industry. Students pursuing the certificate must take Meeting & Event Planning Basics, Contracts for Event Planners and Meeting & Event Planning Budgeting plus two electives; obtain three hours of fieldwork experience; and complete a planning project.  Registration also requires student membership with a premier meeting and event planning organization, choosing either MPI: TN or ETMP, to grow professionally.

We welcome this partnership as a progression to develop the next generation of meeting planning professionals in Tennessee, and encourage MPI:TN members to consider participation in the program by teaching classes within their professional expertise.
